Overview

SES Template Manager is a native macOS application that helps you manage AWS Simple Email Service (SES) templates. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our approach to data collection and privacy.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or usage information.

SES Template Manager operates entirely on your local Mac. All functionality happens directly between your computer and your AWS account.

No Server or Backend

We do not operate any servers or backend infrastructure. The app communicates directly with AWS services using your credentials. Since we have no servers:

• Your data never passes through our systems
• We cannot access your AWS credentials
• We cannot see your email templates or content
• We have no record of your usage or activity

Local Data Storage

All application data is stored locally on your Mac:

• AWS Credentials: Stored securely in macOS Keychain, managed by Apple's security system
• AWS Profiles: Read from your local ~/.aws/config file (standard AWS CLI configuration)
• Session Tokens: Temporarily cached in macOS Keychain for convenience
• App Preferences: Stored in macOS user defaults (standard macOS storage)

This data never leaves your Mac and is protected by your macOS security settings.

Direct AWS Communication

The app connects directly to Amazon Web Services using your credentials:

• All API requests go directly from your Mac to AWS
• We use AWS Signature V4 authentication (standard AWS security)
• Your AWS data remains in your AWS account
• AWS's privacy policy governs data in your AWS account

In-App Purchases

SES Template Manager uses Apple's StoreKit framework for the one-time purchase:

• Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple
• We receive only a transaction receipt from Apple to verify your purchase
• Apple's privacy policy governs purchase data
• We do not collect or store any payment information

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use any analytics, tracking, or telemetry services. The app does not:

• Track your usage or behavior
• Collect crash reports or diagnostic data
• Use cookies or tracking technologies
• Share data with third parties
• Display advertisements

Third-Party Services

The only third-party services the app connects to are:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Direct connection to your AWS account using your credentials
• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases

Both services have their own privacy policies that govern your interactions with them.

macOS Permissions

The app requests the following macOS permissions:

• Folder Access: To read AWS configuration files from ~/.aws/config (optional, only if you use AWS profiles)
• Keychain Access: To securely store AWS credentials and session tokens

These permissions are used solely for app functionality and are managed by macOS security.

Data Security

While we don't collect or store data on our servers, we implement security best practices:

• AWS credentials are stored in macOS Keychain with encryption
• All AWS API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• No credentials are logged or stored in plain text
• The app follows Apple's security guidelines for macOS applications

Children's Privacy

SES Template Manager is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since we don't collect any data at all, this is not a concern.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
